The digital transformation is having a major impact on the way companies organize their business processes. One of the industries particularly affected by this development is the social insurance sector. In order to meet the requirements of its customers and at the same time increase the efficiency of its processes, the Social Insurance Institution (SVA) of the Canton of St.Gallen decided to digitize its forms. SVA St.Gallen has been working with aforms2web on the digitalization of its form processes since the end of 2017. As part of the proof of concept (PoC), the family allowance form (To the form "), one of the most complex forms, was implemented with the AFS standard software from aforms2web.
The digital family allowance form has been live since 2019 and receives around 5,500 digital applications per year. With the acquisition of the AFS standard software, SVA St.Gallen always pursued the goal of being able to implement dynamic online forms independently. The acquisition and implementation of AFS in the SVA infrastructure was an important step towards digitalization. Since the introduction of AFS, SVA St.Gallen has been able to capture the form data in a structured, validated and complete manner and automatically transfer it to its electronic archive and workflow system without media discontinuity. This makes it possible to optimize processes for its customers and increase satisfaction.

The first online forms, which were digitized with the help of AFS, were a great success. SVA St.Gallen was able to shorten processing times and increase customer satisfaction. The online forms, which are implemented independently by SVA St.Gallen, continue this success and support the efforts to optimize processes for customers.
